Bunty's Guide to Make DVD-9s into DVD-5s !!!!!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1: Programs
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I used the following programs

Instant Copy

now that is version 7 then you need to install that and download the update from 7.0 to 7.1 get the upgrade here

http://www.pinnaclesys.com/docsupport1.asp?division_id=1&langue_id=2&product_id=1153&product_name=InstantCopy&page_id=62

PDI2ISO get it by clicking here

http://www.wingt.de/mitlaender/download/pdi2iso_011.zip

YOU ALSO NEED DVD DECRYPTER THAT IS EASY TO FIND SO GET IT FROM YOU FAVORITE SOURCE

Step 2: Converting VOB into PDI
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PDI 101

Because in Dvd-9s a second layer is added at the factory you have to change it into a PDI format to do this.....

start up Instant Copy
Where it says source dould click Hard Drive
find where you have Decryptered your Files
Also when decrypting get all of them NOT just the vob files you need them all
find the Video_TS file Note: It should be the only selectable file if you dont select all files
Then go to the destination side and select Hard Drive
find where you want to save it Note: you need aleast 5 GB
Press start and it will go through

Step 3: Turing the PDI files into Isos

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PDI into ISO 101

Since PDI files are not able to be burned with D.V.D.D. you are going to have to convert it into ISO to do this.....

Start up PDI2ISO
press the "..." buttton by select PDI file
INSTANT COPY has made more than one PDI file BUT select the file without NUMBERS and PDI2ISO will detect the rest
Then press the "..." button by Select Detination and find a place to save it you need another 5 GB FOR THIS MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE SPACE
Then press Start Let it go through and continue

Step 4: Burning the ISO File with DVD DECRYPTER

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

BURING ISOS 101

PDI2ISO has taken all the PDI files and Converted them into ONE ISO file now you have to burn it

Start up DVD Decrypter
press W on your Keyboard
Where it says Source click that little folder with a magnafing glass and find the ISO file you just made
Then go by the Destination thing and select the DVD recorder you have
make sure the Write Mode is on DVD
Data Type Should be Mode1/2048
press that little button with the HARD DRIVE WITH AN AAROW INTO A CD
CONGRADULATIONS AFTER IT IS DONE BURING YOU HAVE MADE A DVD WITH THE MENU AND THE MOVIE ON A DVD-5 GOOD JOB
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, I edited the message and removed the link to full version. Thanks for the guide -- I don't like Pinnacle's speed (slow) or its quality (bad), but this might help those people who are interested.
