I think my xbox is overheating but im not sure, i have the psu hung in the air with some string everything is well ventalated and not on carpet. It freezes after about 15-20 mins of use, i dont really want to go with the water cooling system because if is not overheating then i voided the warranty and then im stuck. anyone have other quick fix ideas to avoid having to send it in to microsoft? also if any one has sent theirs in how long did it take and when the xbox overheats does the light on the psu turn yellow or does it stay green? (mine stays green)

took 4 days once i got the box.

don't remember mine just froze at the first load screen, so i couldn't help ya there.

it's much easier to just send it in and get a nonbugged unit then worrying about quick fix.

ive had a lot of experiance in this feild . They say to NOT put ur xbox vertical Uand down . This makes the console over heat. Make sure ur unit is ____ way not l if its flat it wont heat as much it sounds nuts but its true

so try that and they all over heat there is 3 proces. going at once. 175 watts of power going thru there seing how xbox had about 70 or so so ya its gunna give off some heat. Mine gets hot when i first play then the fans kick in and its a lot cooler so read manuel on where not to put it and try that if u got any ? or comments post

mine was a brand new unit, not even refurb. new manufacture date on it and new manufacture location.

i got a brand new one and it has not messed up since.

i am getting it water cooled from a company called coolit whcih will fit it to your xbox 360 or you can get one premoded. the pics i am about to show you are just of a working prototype, when it comes out it will be a lot smaller.

I recieved my box 3 days later but the first box had no retun labels includedI called a second time that day and they said they would send another by saturdaY no box so i called a 3 time they said they would send another box and it would be here by monday.Todays monday no box
