Hey fellas. My name's Brock and I recently recorded an EP at a local studio around the Twin Cities area. Although when I went to record I wanted to sound like Nickelback or a band called Live, the finished product sounded like Sevendust or Revelation Theory. So a couple weeks after I recorded, I submitted a few demos and I signed on with an independent record label. Once I signed on though, I promised that I'd start doing live shows again, and I intend to keep that promise. Being that I recorded my EP while playing lead guitar, bass guitar, drums, various other instruments, and singing alone, I really can't perform live. I tried seeking help from newspaper job sections but all the candidates sucked and couldn't play my style. Therefore, I'm looking for a skilled drummer who uses bassy, American-style "fat" drums as well as either a guitarist or a bassist. Being that I'm the singer and guitarist at all times, I can either play lead guitar or I can play bass while I hire a skilled lead. Either the drummer or the guitarist/bassist must have vocal abilities for backup vocals (and must sound somewhat like me.) The amount of gigs won't be staggering, just a few shows here and there around the Twin Cities, probably starting next June through September. This is not a FULL TIME JOB. I don't need anyone to write songs with me, just someone who is a skilled musician who can learn quickly. Reply only if you're skilled but you aren't particularly looking for a serious job. I'm good to work with as long as you don't screw up on stage or do your own thing.
