DVD-R playback jerky. Camera AVI to MPEG2

I'm using Pinncale Studio 7 to capture the video from my DV camera, edit, and then to convert to MPEG2 (DVD quality). Once the DVD is authored, it plays back fine on my PC but the video is very "jerky" on panning shots, etc. on my Toshiba table top. Other than that, the video quality is very good.

An interlace problem ? I don't know. Any help would be appreciated.
