I just bought a Nokia 6630 on e bay from a seller in London who told me he paid 30 pounds-approx $50 to have it unlocked from Orange(carrier)on the e bay ad he states the phone is unlocked and will work on most networks.I asked the question and his answer was that it,s unlocked to 3G ,which from what i read is 1 of the phones bands.I called Nokia cust service and was told if a phone is unlocked it will take any carriers sim card as long as it,s on the phones frequencies. From what i read on other forums most carriers in Europe will provide unlock codes for a price, usually high unlike USA carriers especially Cingular who outright refuses, did hear T Mobile will a certain time into contract.I,m waiting anxiously for phone to arrive so does it sound like it was unlocked by the carrier and i,m set to go with my AT+T and Holland sim cards or do i have to look forward to spending more for unlocking?
