Hi,

I'm a big quality nut, and use DXC because I maintain perfect dvd quality. The disc switch doesn't really bother me, but say, when I have friends over, it kinda annoys them that I have to get up and switch discs halfway through.

My question is, In the future, when we have dvd media that can hold up to 30 GB or more, would it be possible to decrypt the information from DXC dvd splits and join the VOB files to fit it on this 'futuristic' media? I'm just wondering if DXC disturbs the functionality in such a way that it would render such an idea as an impossibility.

I see everybody jumping on the 'transcoding' bandwagon now, and I can't help but think that in the future, when high quality sets and players are a norm, those people will be wishing that they hadn't transcoded all their movies. DXC is wonderful, because it preserves all the quality.

Thanks in advance for the help everybody.
