External DVD will not correctly operate.

I've been using a Pacific Digial DVD Burner for about two years with DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter. Last week the burner started corrupting DVDs and will not burn DVDs. Corruption meaning the disk is no longer readable by either my external or internal drives.

I'm using XP Home Edition with Roxio, and the burnware already mentioned. I've uninstalled, re-installed, the hardware and software in various combinations.

Suggestions?
