I know you can buy a VGA adaptor for the 360 that will allow you to use a 360 with a PC monitor, but is it possible to use a 360 with the DVI connector of my LCD monitor?

i dont think they make dvi connectors yet.. you should just use the component cables yprpb. That is just as good as dvi

yes im sorry to say they havent made a offical xbox 360 converter to dvi but you can look for a vga or dvi converter for any game console at www.lik-sang.com

it will cost you around 80.00

My HDTV has a VGA input and also Component inputs. I bought the XBOX360 that came with the HD Component Cables but I also bought the VGA cable thinking it would look much better. I'm able to use my HDTV as a computer monitor. I played MADDEN06 for about 2 hours with the VGA cable and 2 hours with the HD Component cables. The HD Component cables look 5 times better. Don't waste your money on buying converters. Just use the Component cables and it will look awesome!!! Trust me I returned my VGA cable and used it to buy another 360 game.

the problem is that i don't have a HDTV, only a standard 28" CRT widescreen and me LCD Monitor (which doesn't component inputs)

so vga or dvi is the only way for me to go at the moment

That makes your choice easier. You can buy a VGA cable for the xbox360 at best buy for about 40 bucks. Plus when I was trying to use my HDTV as a PC monitor, my resolution might not be as high as your PC monitor. My recommended Resolution is 1280x768. I imagine the resolution on your monitor probably is better than this. I think it will look awesome on your PC monitor. The reason I thought my Componenet cables looked 5 times better was because I was able to adjust all of my picture settings like color, contrast, brightness,sharpness and tint. I was able to get the best picture I could using these settings. With the VGA cable plugged in I was limited to 3 adjustments something like hot,cold and neutral but don't sweat it, the 360 will look terrific on your PC monitor. Good luck!!
