What do you mean using Nero DVD+Rewriteable drive? As far as I know, any DVD-R and DVD+R can only be used once, any DVD+RW and DVD-RW can write over and over, but more than 5 - 10 times is really not that good.

Do you have a dvd burner by chance? I'm curious to why can't Nero recognize the blank media. Is your burner has the latest firmware? Firmware is really useful, it helps to enhances the burning performances and media compatibility. Or is your ASPI installed properly? Look at picture for reference:

Have you tried to update your Nero Burning Rom (from Nero 6 Ultra) to the latest Nero 6.6.0.18? I would try to google and update the ASPI to the latest, if I were you, or you can try to use Nero's ASPI.
Quote:just so you know im using Nero burning ROM version 6 and the firmware version is 0017
So is 0017 your burner's firmware? What kind of burner (model) do you have? It would be nice to know what brand/model your burner is, so I can at least direct to what firmware you need or not to update.
