Is there another program that is like DVD shrink but works on all formats? avi, wmv, etc.

AVI and WMV are already compressed. Why would you want to compress them more? You would lose any quality that they had.

but shrink by far is more user friendly, and a free progarm to boot.
you'll find that the majority here uses shrink and shrink alone.
