Hi all, so i've been trawling theforums to see what other users recommendations are for some of the best hardware out there. Trawling between this forum and the dvd+-rw forum i noticed that some people were confusing topics with dvd roms and dvd writers so all this has done is confused me even more cause it ain't sure which to go for now!!

Ok wat i want to get out of my new hardware is this,I want to put a dvd that i've compiled and burned already in my dvd rom and then make 50 copies of this disc! I've read that the BENQ DW 1640 is the best burner out there. Any recommendations for a dvd rom? Bear in mind majority will be dvd-r.

Also any advice as to the stability of NERO being able to handle being told make 50 copies in one go??

I would suggest a DVD Duplicator and one place that sells them is here:

Also do a Google search for DVD Duplicator. I don't believe any normal DVD writer will be able to handle that load.

As for a DVD-ROM drive, all are pretty much the same in my opinion. Besides, for $40 you can get another burner instead of spending $20 for a DVD-ROM.

BenQ 1640's are out of stock in many places, but a great drive. If you are making 50 at a time I doubt you are making that 1 movie for yourself, so I say a newer BenQ would be great. You will want to buy DVD+R media with a good burner like BenQ to be able to booktype to DVD-ROM for the best compatability with the average joe's DVD player.
