so I have windows xp. and well I did automatic update, and well it installed sevice pack one and two, and all the other bs. Well when I went to my computer and clicked properties, it showed I had no service pack, and when I tried to use certain programs that required service pack 1 and 2 it they didn't work. Finally I needed to use windows media playforsure mp3 player sync thing, so I went online, downloaded service pack 1 patch, and it worked. ever sense I did the automatic update, sonicstate won't work, (reinstalled and uninstalled like 3 times) and my dvd player software, and some dvd burning software, just says driver failure.

any ideas?
