OK, I have both downloaded and rented games to burn..
I have been using Cheap Princo DVD-r and they work about 75% of the time... So I read up on this forum, and it seems most people say that Taiyo Yuden dvd's are the best...
So I bought 100 of them. So far, I have rented 1 game, made an image of it with Alcohol at mid speed and burned it with Alcohol at it's slowest speed.
That game was Stella Deus. When I try to play it, it loads, but is Very very choppy, and it seems as though my PS2 is searching the disc for files and loads them when it finds them.
I downloaded a game called Wild Arms 4 and burned it with Alcohol at it's slowest setting and it does them exact same thing, Very choppy, and unplayable...
I downloaded Dragon Quest VIII and burned it with an old junky Princo disc at it's slowest speed and it's smooth as can be...
Does anyone have any ideas why my Great Taiyo Yuden discs are running like junk and my chear Princo DVD's are running like fire?

thanks for any help...
and I'm also sorry if this is a repeated question, there are sooo many recording help posts, I couldn't read them all..
thanks...

Oh, I forgot, I use Swap Magic not 3.6, the one before it and a flip top.
All my originals work perfectly, and alot of my back-up do as well...

I got them from SuperMediaStore.com I heard they had the real ones...
I'm going to check the stamp on them to see if they are real ones...

Ok, I checked the Manufacturer with Alcohol...
The Manufacturer ID is TYG02
and the media manufacturer is Taiyo Yuden.
Unless the fakes are able to duplicate the disc code, what am I to suspect?
Bad Media, or could I possibly be doing something wrong, although I have burned quite a number of games with inferior media...
Thanks for you help...

I checked the supplier.. I got them from Allmedia Outlet...
I got Fake Ty Media...
I know this because they sent the Media box which says made in Taiwan...
TY should say Made in Japan...
That's my problem...
I'm ordering new media from Supermediastore...
They have an original guarantee...
We'll see how they work...
thanks for the help..
