HI, I just downloaded an avi file and it is too big to put on a cd, now I don't know how to cut it in half or even better put it on a DVD. I am using Nero Express 6.3.1.17. When I choose burn a DVD and add the avi, it tells me it "No Compatable File Found" Is there any way of doing this??

Thanks for the help

There are converters like DivXtoDVD that u could to convert the AVI to dvd format or AVI2DVD.

will your dvd player support 'data'?
you can burn using Nero and make a data disk and it will fit fine.
but update Nero as intructed. just how big is that .AVI file?

yeah i have the same version as him exept mine is real. so if i get the update i will be able to burn .AVI files again? cause i just tried to burn a movie that was exactly 700mb on the hard drive. but when i load it in Nero to burn it tells me its 780mb. will downloading the new version fix this werid problem. cause the older versions of Nero never used to do this with .AVI when burning to svcd/vcd

pirated versions... well, they are what they are. i can't help you much with that.

as far as .avi
if a file is 780mb, then its just to big to fit to a 700mb cd.
you need to loose some quality to make it fit.
run the file through dvdshrink and compress it a bit.
