is there any reason why a pal back up will play in black and white on a pal ps2???

unless your tv doesnt support 60 hz but if it does i havent a clue on dat subject is there anything to convert NTSC to PAL 4 ps2 backups

yes mate there 3 things in total depending if you have chip some chip and force in what you nedd as in NTSC 2 PAL or visa versa

swap magic can do it just change the video mode when swapping but you loose half your screen well a quater

or you can search around here for the program to patch your game to which one you need ive never used so dont ask check out the big guide by t on the stickys im sure he would have included it

So, did you copy it from the original? if not, how do you know it's a PAL game?
Try a different game and see if that does it too... if all's well with the new game, then it's a problem with the iso you got.. probably downlaoded a mis-labeled file. Do what the guys above suggested and patch the video.. or if using swap magic just play with the video mode settings on the load program screen and see if that helps first.

But i suggest trying to set the video mode on Swap Magic
or your chip first, as that would be the easiest fix.
