I tried to delete some of the file off my HDD since I was reading a tutorial on how to uninstall my softmod off of my HDD and I screwed it up. The tutorial was actually for a larger HDD. I deleted the backup folder I think and now what ever I do I get an error 13. How can I fix this?

well what game did u softmod with??and did u delete the softmod saves off your xbox??also did u back up your eeprom???

Well I used the Machassault saves from Xbins. I backed up everything that it said I could back up, and I was following a tutorial so I probably did. Yes I'm pretty sure that I deleted the saves since I got rid of the backup and the M$ Dash

not nessacarily the ms dash is in the C folder to were the save are in the E put mechassault back in and see if it loads up go through the same process u did to softmod it....

Well we have another problems there. I wanted to put Halo 2 onto my xbox so I figured that if I deleted some stuff on my HDD I would have enough room. I was wrong and I deleted the saves to make room. So now I get an error 13 and I can't load the saves.

well unless u backed-up your eeprom to your computer your In a bad boat the only thing to fix that is a modchip...

well if u dont wanna solder get the xecuter 3 solderless or the xenium spice gold if u dont care about soldering then the duox2 is a good cheap chip...

Well someone suggested installing slayers 2.6 and that might fix the problem. Would that work?
