I still need some help---I have backed up a copy of Burnout 3 to hard drive. I have even burned it to a dvd-r. I have even been able to watch the vidio files on the dvd-r with the cpu. Which I was not able to do with the game at first but now I can watch those files. I now have a copy of Swap Magic and I mean a copy. What I need to know is will the copy work,and from what I have read most likly not and if not is there a something out there that will work. I have looked until my eyes see nothing but blurs. I have read alot in the forums here,I have used search---maybe I am not asking the right ? Any help or link to my problem

No, a copy will not work... there are no free fixes to be able to boot up copied games... you have to spend a bit of money on a fliptop/slide-card etc and the swap magic discs.. or get a modchip installed (they're the 2 most used ways)

As I said before, you need a fliptop or whatvere to work with the swap magic discs.. you need to find out what version yuor ps2 is, then get the relevant case mod for it.
Other than that, you can't tell if you've burned a game correctly until you put it in your modified ps2 console to play it.

Read through lots of threads to get a general idea of an problems you might face and to get the hang of what you need to backup games... When I joined way back last year I did that for about 2 weeks before attempting to backup games and while waiting for my swap magic and fliptop to arrive... I had very few problems with backing up after that.. if you research a subject thoroughly you'll get to know things more than posting a question and getting the "easy answer"

anyway, wasn't getting at you or anything.. good luck with it when you get the stuff you need to play your backups.
