HELP! For some reason, I can't get anything to burn anymore. Used to work. Now it don't!

My typical protocol: rip with Decrypter, shrink with Shrink, burn with Nero (in Nero). I have Nero 7 Ultra (7.0.1.4), use a BENQ DW1620 (latest firmware), and burn to TDK DVD+R discs.

HERE IS A DVD IDENTIFIER LOG, AND MY NERO LOG FROM THE LAST UNSUCCESSFUL BURN. ANY HELP ANYONE CAN PROVIDE WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED!

While waiting, try getting some new media. There has been a lot of complaints on CMC manufactured media. If that isn't the problem, you can still use the better media when you get things straightened out. Have you tried another program to see if it's just the software?

By the way you need to edit out the serial number on your log entry or some people will be pirating it. It's the string beginning with 4C82 at the top of the Nero log.

Free physical memory: 132MB (135700kB)
Memory in use : 74 %
- sufficient total memory but free memory could be better; try to close down more programs prior to ALL dvd work/burning to free up more memory

Last address to be written: 2286127 (508:01.52, 4465MB)
- i personally do not recommend burning too close to outer edge of discs (see the 4465MB there). Set target size to 4300MB in Shrink's preferences thus avoiding outer edge of discs and not sacrificing much space

Recorder: BENQ DVD DD DW1620, Media type: DVD+R
- a-ha. the burners' firmware cannot recognise those discs. this is similar to what you should see -

Disc Application Code: 64, Disc Physical Code: 193
- ie a 3line paragraph when the firmware's up to date. Your discs are newer than the burner's firmware knows what to do with

- see previous comment (plus CMC Mag are awful)

See my sig for reasons not to be wary of TDK (CMC Mag are a prime example)

I'd suspect patience is the key. Just browsing the logs for the errors is a task in itself.
