I've got a Sony Grand Wega SXRT 50" (KDS-R50XBR1) that supports 1080p playback. I just recently bought it and up until now I've been using my xbox as a media center pc. Apparently though, it cannot keep up with the HDTV quality streams as it stutters or doesn't play any of them. I can get a pixelated version to play if its encoded xvid, but the rendering sucks pretty badly. I'm wanting to play off ts files (a.b.hdtv) and I want to do it the best way possible. I do not need to record hdtv streams, only play them back. So far the only card I can find that actually does 1080p is this one...

This sucker runs aroudn $300 and I'd really like to avoid spending that much, however if that's what I need it's what I need. Oh, I'd also like it to be component out but I'm sure you figured that out :)

Any ideas? What's bare minimum components I need ? cpu/mem?
