you don't even have to use iso. one of the ways I do it, in only two steps using alcohol 120%. pop in the ps2 game, bring up alcohol, click on copy wizard, select your destination. it takes about 12 minutes to copy a 4 gig game, once it is finished you will see two files, ex. destroyallhumans.mds and destroyallhumans.mdf. Now pop in a blank dvd-r. Remember that the game has to be under 4.7 gigs unless you want to rip some stuff or use a dual layer dvd. Once the dvd-r is ready, open alcohol again, click on Image Burniing Wizard, it will ask you to pick an image, browse and find the destroyallhumans.mds, select it and click next, then click start, takes about 10 min to burn and then you are all set. Since I have started doing this I have not encountered a single problem, i have the new slimline and swapmagic 3.6. Of the 80+ games I've done all of them have worked. I also have a simple 3 step process to have your game online ready also.

what do you do if the game is over 4.7? I am trying to copy a game with alcohol and it keeps getting disk read error about halfway through.

Anything (any games) over 4.3GB, you'll need to rebuild them. Check all those guides and info on those stickies for helps.

Just a message to all pepes who are having problemz wouldn't use alcohol 120% for PS2 games unless you want to be burning coasters (alright for PS1), the burn speed doesn't drop down to the desired speed ie. 4x,2x,1.4x,1x.
Although people have there different methods I find that nero 6 works best for me, DVD if game is DVD format, copy dvd if you have original and are just wanting to back it up, if for some reason you have an ISO on your harddrive then burn dvd (if dvd) image and personally I find my PS2 will only swallow DVD-R format. :)

are you sure it is a DVD burner and not just a DVD player that burns CD's, this mistake can be made pretty easily!

95% sure you can't burn DVD's with this as it is a DVD/cd-rw think this means it reads DVDS and reads and copies CD's. When I got mine it was a DVD-RW and this does the lot.
And JJ503 use Tokijin's Q & A on how to backup PS2 games, (he knows what he's talking about):

Yep, it would say dvd+-rw/cd-rw if it burned dvds.
