Both.

In fact, the new Super Smash Bros. game is supposed to be released the same time as the Revolution, and it will be multiplayer online.

Of course you must pay fot downloading games

but you dont have to pay money for playing online with other people

If you got an XBOX with XBOX live you have to pay a few $ to play online with other people

sorry my English is not good :)

Playing online for free would be amazing, and I think it's a pretty possible thing. I mean, DS plays MarioKart online for free right? All you need is the hotspot and the internet connection, which most of us have already...

i like the online thing....ssbr online :F....but still. hopefully they dont use the same friend code system for the DS in the revo. i'd prefer a different system. letting you play with strangers. like say servers?...thoughts?

Nintendo announced they're online service is free. U only have to pay to download old NES, SNES, 64 games.

Ye i dont like the friend code idea. makes it hard to get with people online.. the system should be different tho, with servers and lobbys and such

What would be cool is if they made old games internet capable. Like Perfect Dark, or Goldeneye. Or even those great racing games like Rush.

perfect dark and goldeneye won't be immedietly accessable on Nintendo's downloading service, due to complications with Rare.

it's true that the Gamecube and PS2 were identically equipped in online capabilities. However, it was Microsoft that had the big push for online play. Smash Bros Melee was an early title, and was never meant for online play, much like the GTA's that are on ps2. There wasn't just that emphasis on online gaming as their counterpart.
The revolution will have more online play. What exactly are you complaining about, mudearies?

And my opinion on red steel: It seems like a cool game, from a solid 3rd party, nonetheless. You use a sword and/or a gun in the game, which covers a lot of enthusiasm about how the controller could be used. I'm excited about it, and I hope it's a blast to play. It could very well be a shitty game, but I guess I'm an optimist.

I don't think u'd be able to play any capcom games either since capcom isn't for nintendo anymore.

Neither is Rare, that would be a big blow to Nintendo's potential library.

I believe Rare doesn't even work with Nintendo anymore, right? Anywho it'd be anti logic to not have an online feature, every new console has that now. I can't wait for Smash Bros online, I didn't even know they were making a new one :o

Um... No, you can't download games from someone. You have to pay a fee. How else is Nintendo going to make money?
