I just got a magic swap 3.6 for the slim ps2two to play imported games. I heard it can be used to play backup copies of ps2 games. I copied a friends Street Fighter EX3 because it runs on the cd format. I then had two files. (PS2) Street Fighter EX3 [NTSC-USA].cue and (PS2) Street Fighter EX3 [NTSC-USA]. I burnt both files onto a CD-R and CD-RW. However everytime I attempt to run it using swap magic it says not a valid ps2 disc. Am I doing something wrong?

Since they closed the other post ill re-add what I put in this 1 that was kept open.

You need to load the CUE file only. If you have DVD Decrypter you can burn it with that. Open up DVD Decrypter and do the following. MODE/ISO/WRITE then for the source file choose the cue file only. then burn. The cue file is just a small file that tells decrypter how to burn the other file.

Make sure you have the Street Fighter EX3 cue file in the same folder as the other Street Fighter EX3 file.

If you still have trouble getting it to run off your PS2 it could be that your PS2 dosent like burned CD-R disc. You would be suprised at how many people have trouble getting thier PS2 to read backup CD-R games. I am 1 of those people. So how I fix that problem is converting the CD-R game to a DVD-R game and loading it as a PS2 DVD game. Havent had a CD-R game yet that hasent worked after converting it to DVD. Below is a link that tells you how to do it.

You probably burnt it wrong. You only choose 1 file to burn (depending on your burning program, it could be either 1), and you need to use the burn image option in your burning program. Also, don't use rw discs, they wont work.

V9 PS2, flip top, SMD, DVDLoader
Pioneer 107, ritek g05
DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, Nero

When I go to download DVD Decrypter it gives me AnyDVD 5.8.2.1 and I can't do anything you told me with that. I also downloaded the DVDFab Decypter and its the same thing.

Sorry I didnt notice that AFterdawn coudlnt put DVD Decrypter on thier site anymore.

What is the other file that is with the CUE file? what is the extension of it?

(PS2) Street Fighter EX3 [NTSC-USA].cue

(PS2) Street Fighter EX3 [NTSC-USA]. what is the 3 letter exttension after the second file?

If it dosent give you 1 then you need to go to the folder that has the file in it then fo the following...

Goto "tools" at the top of the window options in that folder.
Then click on folder options
Then click on the View TAB
Now in the list it will say "hide extensions for known file types" make sure you uncheck that box.
Then click Apply and then it should give you the extension letters.
