Hi there,

VSO DivXtoDVD v1.99 Pre-Release will:

- Convert all your internet movies (.AVI / .MPG etc..) to DVD Format

- Add subtitles (using .srt files / More formats to come in future releases)

- Add chapters to each files

- Create a menu (Menu entry for each file, based on the filename, for now)

- Burn your DVD creation to media, with it's own built in burn engine

v2.00 is currently in ßeta, and will be coming out soon.
Lots of stuff fixed, and new goodies in it !

Stay tuned !

Hi, cougar

Don't know why but after converting an .avi to DVD using DivXtoDVD v1.99, the video is fine but the sound is cut down to about half of the volume that in the original .avi.

I can't find any settings in DivXtoDVD to help correct this. Any ideas?

Here's what Video Inspector reveals about the original:

P.S: I usually use Nero Vision Express and the sound was fine after converting but for some reason, it added or duplicated (can't tell which) something to the bottom 1/15 of the screen. Weird...it's never done that before, so I'm looking for an alternative way to convert this file and burn it to DVD.

Ok...figured it out. Duh. In my Volume control for Windows, I had to up the volume in the Wave section. I guess the original MP3 audio in the .avi is converted to wav format on the DVD?

Thanks anyways.

Definitely : Nero VISION

Just select the file you want on the DVD (DivX,MPEG etc.) Create a nice menu with background sound, auto-encode et voila!
