im currently on the lookout for 360s in my area, which is not happening (not surprising) but iw as wondering if the 360 is like the gba or ds in which is region free, because i found a jap 360 online for 430 bucks with lots of extras, i was wondering if anyone knows if it will play us games or not. thanks in advance guys.

Xbox 360 japan version can't play US games...but there is US games which have region free...and the title region free is:
# Call Of Duty 2 (region-free)
# Quake 4 (region-free)
# Condemned (region-free)
# Tony Hawk's American Wasteland (region-free)
# Gun (region-free)
