I have a question. I recently bought a dvd burner that came with Nero so I am a little inexperienced. I have burned a dvd from a downloaded iso movie but I can't seem to get it when its an AVI file. The reason I have so much trouble is when I go to Nero vision and put add video files and click on the movie, it says it is unable too and I guess its cause whenever I try to play it, this thing comes up and says due to patent restrictions, MPEG-4 can't decode or something along the lines. I downloaded a codec that it suggested and it plays the video on the computer but the restriction still appears but i just click close. So is this related to the problem of why I can't put it on Nero vision and if so, what can I do to get around it? Thanks for any suggestions/advice.
its basically saying that the mpeg decoder it needs is not part of this program. Can you download avicodec and run your file through it and then post the file properties for us to see.
It worked fine, thanks. Now the only problem I have is that when I take those 2 files that it made of the movie, i put it together and I use Nero to burn it and add chapters and such. The problem is now, that when i burn it, the voices with be a little ahead of when they actually say it, and i even set the settings at high quality and low burning speed. Do you know any way to resolve this?
The file you downloaded was it DVDRip or just an AVI file. If it was DVDRip then the problem may be able to be solved, if not then you will find that it is common for a lot of D/L movies to be out of sync with sound. It comes from the original source of the files and cannot be fixed. If you do d/l further movies then I suggest you choose ones that are DVDRip
