I prefer Newegg.com and have purchased thousands from them. Tigerdirect is also a good site but a bit more expensive when you add in their shipping. Just compare prices and go with either since both are reputable.

I agree with ScubaBud. Newegg is better, but to answer your question, you can get refurbished or new products from Tigerdirect.

Tigerdirect is not too bad but most of the good deals require you to send in for a rebate.Nine times out of ten you can get the same deals from Newegg for the same price without the rebate hassles.I deal with T/d mostly if I need it right away, there's one near my home.

Newegg is absolutely fantastic. A friend of mine swears by Tigerdirect but has run into some issues with them--mostly just shipping times. Newegg, on the other hand, for me, has been great. I have ordered things after business hours and received the item two or three days later. Plus, their prices area always low.

Just compare between the two, newegg is cheaper for some stuff, tigerdirect is cheaper on other stuff. Shipping is usually cheaper on newegg but i have found stuff at tigerdirect to be cheaper even with shipping figured in.

both are pretty competitive but tigerdirect costs more for cpus and shipping time is not very good and when ordering from newegg pay a little extra to get FEDEX cuz UPS sux they take about 1-2 days extra.

Fedex always on time and maybe earlier.

stop hoping, start loving.

Ever since newegg.com switched their default to UPS deliveries have taken an extra day or two. I wish they stayed with FedEx as their default shipper.

Your Right, when Newegg had Fedex as their shipper my orders arrived alot faster.. I still prefer Newegg over Tigerdirect because shipping is more expensive with TigerDirect like one of the guys just mentioned..

I should have also included that I too STILL prefer Newegg.com over Tigerdirect.com, and other retailers as well.

You know the whole FedEx vs. UPS thing is relative to your location and particular local branch. Fedex for me is absolutely horrible. There was a time when they were a day early in their arrival estimation, and even though my part was on the truck for delivery, they sent it back to the warehouse because they were a day early. It actually said it on the website: "Sent back to warehouse: not scheduled for delivery." Ever since then, if I have an option, I'd never choose 'em. Also, they always deliver things way late. It can be 4 or 5pm when they make their deliveries.

UPS on the other hand, has been great for me. It is very normal for me to receive a package a day in advanced. Why I'm receiving it a day in advanced is beyond me (maybe they suck at estimating lol), but I've never had anything as ludicrous as sending items back because it's too early.

BUT, with that said, I'm sure there are people here who will swear by one or the other, so it really does depend on where you are.

I've used tigerdirect for a few years now, and have never had a problem with them. Newegg might be cheaper, but I have had nothing but positive transactions with tigerdirect.
