Hi guys i was just wondering if anybody has had a problem playing Charlie and the chocolate factory ps2 game? I have tried 5 different original copies and each time it gets to the screen where it comes up on the ps2 logo and then the disk just spins and starts clicking all other games play just fine but not this one. Is it that my ps2 just dont like this game or is there a problem with the game after all 5 different copies of the game you would have thought one would have worked. If anyone else has had a problem with this game please let me know so that i can see that it is not just me or my ps2. Thank you.

this game backed up no problem for me & plays fine on my ps2. make sure your laser is clean as sometimes a dirty laser can cause problems reading some games

Yeh
I have had exactly the same problem with this game - Playstation logo boots then the laser goes to the edge of the disk and then the disk stalls. Strange thing is I backed up the disk with DVD Decrypter and the backup plays ok with swap magic 3.6. I did notice though that the laser still goes to the edge of the disk on the back up at which point the disk spins fast and then slow for about a minute before it reads again.
