Hey well I just bought the Slyvania 20" 6620 Le,but shortly after I recieved it I realized it was a different model which didnt have hdtv.So I contacted him and he said he would either completly refund me or send me the proper one.Now that I have he choice to get my money back and maybe buy a better tv seeing that the one I purchased only supports 480i,480p and 1081i,do you think I should? Also its aspect ratio is 4:3.The reason I want this tv is for gaming and its very cheap and also supports hdtv at 1081i,it only cost me 369.00 brand new.
What do you guys think I should do?If you guys know of any tv's that would be better for gaming and is around that same size please include that info in your post.
Here's the link to the tv I am thinking about getting- http://www.buy.com/prod/Sylvania_6620_LE_20_LCD_Flat_Panel_Displa...

I'm trying to help you but my Best Buy and Circuit City papers are out in my car and it's raining its tail off. I bought my 26 inch Magnavox widescreen HDTV for 779.00. Now I know thats not the price range you mentioned but from alot of reading I've been doing the 2 brands that are fairly cheap but give the same quality as some of the Big Name Brands, like Sony, Sharp etc, are Magnovox and Westinghouse. I think for a 20 inch TV they might be able to meet your price and give you excellent quality without costing an arm and leg. I found my papers Circuit City has a 15inch Magnovox for 289.99 Lcd HD ready tv. Sharp has a 20inch LCD for 499.99. Look I did the same thing bought a HDTV for my XBOX360 but when I hooked it up and started watching football and Movies it blew my doors off. I don't even have a HDTV signal and the picture is absolutely jar dropping. Buy the TV for all around use Gaming, movies, sports. Spend a little extra cash and get yourself a good set. That way you spend your money on a TV that can support all your needs and you get the most out of your money.

Hey BOOGA26 the model number is MAG 26MF605W. Yes the graphics are awesome and yes the picture is awesome. Like i said i don't even have a HD source and the pictures still look like im watching them in HD. Especially the Movies and sports and even regular TV. I bought this Tv from an Audio/Video store when it first came out. Now the only place that I know that has it is Circuit City. If you hook a 360 to it make sure you use the HD Component Cables. This TV can produce 1080i widescreen while playing your XBOX360. Good luck, if you have any other questions just start a new thread.

srnbaham. A response time is how fast your TV swiches from one frame to another, the faster the better. 16ms is quite slow(I have one of these) and can cause a blurring effect(although I have not once noticed this) 12ms is fast and 8ms is just about the fastest.(although 8ms are generally on PC monitors rather than TVs)

Well booga, I have not noticed any blurring (at all) when playing xbox 360 in HDTV mode. The only blurring I have noticed is normal TV when you get a black on black background(i.e when a guy on TV wearing black walks into a very dark room)but the only scene I have really noticed it on was an episode of blackadder, it didn't really bother me.

Thanks Icarbutt, I understand now. If Booga26 has the same TV that I bought he will not have any problems with blurring. I've played NFS Most Wanted until I beat the game and never had any problems. The only problem I have had was with Fable The Lost Chapters but its not the TV. After playing Fable The Lost Chapters on my 360 for a couple of hours, I notice that while I'm fighting lots of Bandits a lag or slow down affect in frame rate. I figured since my 360 gets pretty hot that's what's causing this slowdown. Do you know if this game was known to have some lag pre 360 or could it be the heat?

Hey Booga, Look on the upper left hand side of your tv where it shows the channels. When you see HD in the upper left hand side that's the channel you want it on. Also make sure to use your HD Compnent Cables that come with the XBOX360 Premium Package. I think that there is a source button you can use to get to the HD or you can simply go all the way down to channel 2 and keep going down from there. It will go through all your Aux hook ups. When you reach HD, thats the channel you want. Any other questions contact me.

Booga, select 1080i on your 360. It's the best setting. Plus say you have an old XBOX game that only has 720p you will not have to change the settings. Just leave it on 1080i for the best picture.
