Hey everyone, I was just wondering if anyone was having the same problems as I am.
I have my 360 hooked up to a 5.1 surround sound system. When I go to play a game (PGR3), I cant hear any bass. There is bass in the opening movie sequences, but there is no bass in the actual game, or in the music in the menus.
I have the 360 hooked up through optical cable going to the reciever. I have no idea why I cant hear any lows.
It is set in the console hardware to use dolby digital 5.1.
Yea, its dolby digital capable. it says that on the front. The thing is, when i put the 360 into dolby stereo mode, i get bass. When i put it into 5.1, theres no bass.
well, first try checking the sound settings or if some cables r loose. I also got a dolby 5.1 surround. I have a yamaha tuner and i hook all audio, video and other cables into and i get the best sound and different sound modes, and even a GAMING mode.
Another thing. Get the highest quality optical cable you can find. On my xbox, I use a THX certified Monster cable, which is awesome. I am using an Onkyo system, and the bass output is awesome. My dad is also using Monster cables on his Klipsch speakers, and it is just mind blowing.
