I need some serious help. I am using bittornado, it seems so easy, this forum is great with alot of helpful walk throughs. However i'm stumped. I use a dlink 524 wireless router, i have turned my windows firewall off, i use avg antivirus software.

In bittornado i have a green status light
my download is between 1 - 4 kB/s
the upload is between 4 and 10 kB/s

I have studied and applied everything from the article about port forwarding and have forwarded ports 10000 to 100005 in my router
as well made the same ports available in the bit torrent client

I have no idea what i am doing wrong and am getting frustrated i hope someone can help me

one more thing just want to make sure once it's downloaded what is the best program to burn with

Wow wow wow , hold on a minute ,
1. Never turn your antivirus off , your mad if you do
2.Need a bit more info from you , connection speed ??
3.Are you using a private or public tracker ??
4.Isp download/upload limits

you will need a converter to convert your file to dvd (im assuming its dvd :) ) something like vso DivX to dvd or my fav dvd santa (the trial lasts forever , just a little watermark in the corner)http://www.dvdsanta.com , you can burn straight to dvd using dvd santa but i use neroto burn the file to disc :)

@i_suck ,

dude as a senior member you know that people trust you on here ;) but you cant go tellin people to turn there antivirus off m8 , you could of asked for a bit more info instead of just saying turn off avg and get a new proggy :( if you dont/cant be bothered to help then leave it for someone who will help .

Not havin a dig m8 just we all gotta Teach and learn :)

this is the result i get after preforming a speed test
Welcome to BBR! Run more tests! see forums
2006-01-25 08:36:57 EST: 3649 / 239
Your download speed : 3649 kbps or 456.1 KB/sec.
Your upload speed : 239 kbps or 29.9 KB/sec.

I was bright enough not to turn off my antivirus, i did take the advice and changed programs and i am using Azureus, it is alot easier to use.

I have set up a static ip address, port forwarded port #56249, i don't have firewall turned on.

I did manage to download 1 torrent it took 2 days, my speeds in Azureus average from 1kB/s to 14kB/s this seems slow to me

I use Nero burning rom and the only way i could burn the torrent was with a regular cd+rw

maybe i have too many topics in here but i've been having trouble and would appreciate some help

I don't know if it is public or private i can tell you i download them from torrentspy.com.

I have DivXtoDVD but when i try to select the torrent to burn it gives me an error exception during conversion: output may not be available

Ok your using a public tracker thats why you have slow speeds , as for the converting issue what format is the file in ?? AVI , mpeg ,
