I can't play ps2 games on my ps2

I burnt conflict desert storm 2 for the ps2 I put the disc in the ps2 but it didn't work there was a red thing. Pleases tell me what u think is the problem and how to fix it.

hi, this could be that yhe game was burned too fast (you should burn at 1X or 2X) or it could be a result of cheap media. what discs are you using & what speed did you burn at?

also do you have your ps2 chipped or use a swap disc. as you will need some sort of mod/disc to play back up ps2 games
