Having used Nero 6 for quite a while, I recently upgraded to Nero 7.
I used Lightscribe on ver.6 but cannot activate,or even find, it on ver. 7. I have reinstalled 7 several times, and yes the Lightscribe software in installed and working, as shown by the fact that it works perfectly well on SureThing.
Surely Nero have not dropped Lightscribe on vers.7 ? Any thoughts or helpful suggestions please ?

Did you look under the Extras tab?
That is where it hides on my Vers 7 of Nero.

do you have the full version of Nero 7 ? or is it a demo?
the demo has some limitations of usage..

Nero 7 is confusing in that it keeps describing itself as Nero Demo
even after it is registered and serialised. In my case a serial number shows on the Nero Start up tray and on checking through the Nero site this is confirmed as valid. So ?
My DVD driver HP 340c is Lightscribe compatible and works well with SureThing and worked previously with Nero 6.
By the way I am using these good boards because, despite many efforts, I can raise no response whatever from Nero support, and this surprises and disappoints me

Sorry, meant 640c. Downloaded and installed the Lightscribe software, but to no effect.
How can I be sure that my Nero 7 vers. is full and not a trial ?
I have reinstalled several times, but something sure ain't right.
Hopeless "support" from Nero.
Thanks for the suggestion.

open Nero, on the first screen, there is an icon at the lower right hand corner, the flame one, click that, it will say either demo or ultra version, or premium !!

Thanks to all for your help. I am now a sadder and a wiser man. It seems that, unless, in the unlikely event that Nero comes to my aid, I am stuck with a Lightscribeless Nero v.7. I've wasted enough of your time, but at least it's a case for the record.
Again many thanks !

What i have read earlier about this is the Lightscribe package is in everyones Nero, but not turned on, or un-hidden until it sees a lightscribe capable drive. Then Nero is supposed to unlock the lightscribe part and make it available. So Killalot's method probably gets Nero to see the drive finally. It is worth trying.
