I have a Matrox 100 system. Whenever I bring a picture into Premier it is very pixelated or distorted. I have tried different formats like PSD, TIFF, JPEG, but it makes no difference. The picture looks perfect in photoshop so I don't understand. I am trying to use a picture as a logo, but I am stumped.

This may have nothing to do with what you're experiencing but... I once tried to do some work adding a logo to a document and had a similiar experience to what you are describing. This reason was my logo had to be sized to a certain height and width before I imported it into the program.

How am I? I'm still alive... damn the luck!

Hmmm....I'd be willing to try that...do you remember what size seemed to work best? bigger or smaller works better?

Thanks for the help

It was a small size, something like 64x64 but what might do you better is looking at the documentation on that option for the software you are using. The size might have to be specific.

I had a similar problem when importing JPEG files into a video editor. The problem I believe was because my video editor was set at NTSC format and the images were not. (they were set at square pixels) This will cause the images to be stretched and distorted with funky colors. There should be a setting on Premiere that lets you view the images properly.
