my afterdawn brothers and sisters i have a problem. my ps2 that can only play copy ps2 dvds but cant play copy ps2 cd games more than once, it will only play the game once and it wont play again but its funny in the fact that it can play backup ps1 cd games all the time. but i guess the problem is my fault coz i use Memorex cds and i use it to back up my ps1 games and it works. i dont know or i should say am not sure wat type of chip it is i think its either a Magic or Messiah series PS2 mod-chip and i think its one of the other models because i had this chip put in from 2003-2004 so am wondering if i updated my chip's bios if that would make it work. thats the first step and am willing to buy better quality cds as soon as i run out of these Memorex cds and can some1 give me the link to the site or sites that have the update for the software so i can flash the chip's bios, and will i mess it up if i flash the chip with the wrong bios. thanks for your time my brothers and sisters. fight the power down with s**y and their money hungry ways yall know wat am talkin bout.

Well some chips have special boot modes for CD's
but unless you know which chip it is it is hard to tell you.
I do not think they have flash upgrades for either of those chips.
You can search the net and see, if they do happen to have them then yes, by all means, upgrade it.

I know the DMS4 chips, Matrix Infinity chips,
and new Crystal Chip V1.1 have upgrades.
may want to try some of this stuff.
