I just bought a Phillips DVDR 985, and I want to rip DVD's. I have read about the decoder and software needed. I have a laptop which has an S video connection, but no RCA connections for audio. It does have three connections ...1 microphone 2 headphones 3. ?. I have a desktop, but it is not close to to the DVDR. What do I have to do with my current setup to get good audio, or is my only option to buy a separate burner for my laptop or destop?
