I got a problem with erased DVD+RW in my standalone Dvd player. New media burned only one time works without any problem, but erased doesn´t. I used Nero to erase the media.

Is there another way to erase the media so it can continue to work in my standalone player ? Need help !

I got HP 100i burner, are using HP DVD+RW media in mode 2 and using Nero 5.5.10.15.
My standalone dvdplayer is a Hoyo player.

Are you doing a full erase or a quick erase? sometimes on a quick erase there is data left from previous burn that confuses the player.

Check out the compatibility of ur player to see if it plays r/w discs as alot of players are fussy when it comes to reading r/w discs.

wwww.dvdrhelp.com dvd player compatibility section

I have done both Quick and Full erase with the same result. The player can´t read the disc.

According to the compatibility list at dvdplusrw.org my drive support DVD+RW with the compatibility setting. And thats true until I erase the disc.

after erase check the settings of the disk to be sure it has not reverted back to mode 1

For my hp 200i nero seems to change to mode 1 after erase and burn again even with compatibility settings for mode 2 by default. I still have to go back and update the disk sometime. Don't know about the 100i.
