Hellow

first of all, im new at this...Ive been bussy with reading a lot of threads, but i havent quite found an answer yet. So this is my problem!

I went to the store, and rented 2 games: need for speed MW and SSX on tour. I made a copy of both of the games...I first started playing NFSMW: the problem was this: when I was playing, the map started loading, I drove like 100m... and again the map started loading, drove 100m and again... I have the same problem whith SSX on tour...it always needs to "reload" the moutain...what makes it impossible to play both the games!

used items: dvd decrypter, the 2 rented games, burned on: DVD+R philips 8X (but burned on 1X and 4x), and swap magic 3.6

strange thing is: olso tried to backup an older game of mine (splinter cell) whith the same settings, and this game works fine!

can someone help me? thx!
sven.

It could be the media.
Try using dvd identifier : http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_tools/dvd_id...
To see what media those backed up discs are.
Report back here with the Manufacturer i.d. it gives you.

iv burned this game twice once on verbratims and it works fine, but i burnt a copy for a mate on tesco own discs and the same problem you are having happened, with you driving off the edge of the edge of the world and it taking 30 sec or so to load. so i would definatly recomend trying new discs, also cleaning your laser may improve the problem, but im not sure if it will be enough of an improvement! hope that helps

it could be the cd's ... but why would the other game (splinter cell) a made a backup from work so good. I dont have any problem whith this game! Maybe ssx and nfsp are just to "heavy" to load on DVD+R?

anyway I'll try other disks!
someone got another advise?

iv found that aswell, some games work fine and others dont, but thats the trouble with poor quality media, its due to the dyes that they use not being consistant, and so some games are fine and others arent, games like nfsmw are quite "complex" and so put more stain on the laser, hence them not loading correctly.
