DVD2AVI how come it uses over 32GB of my HD space????

Hi,

when i rip a DVD and use DVD2Avi it eats up all my HD space. My HD is 40GB, i have 32GB free space before i rip a DVD and when i use the DVD2AVI and I'm all done it only leaves me with 46.5MB free space.What am i doing wrong???

To put it simple: Follow the guides provided on our article section. You're _NOT_ supposed to save it as an uncompressed AVI, but you're supposed to save .d2v project file which can be further modified with VirtualDub/TMPGEnc to encode the video down to DivX or VCD.cfm" class="forum_link" target="_blank">VideoCD.
