I wasnt for sure if this was a newbie or advanced question, so I figured I would post it in both.

Can someone please help? I cannot burn Brothers Grimm or Dark Water and I would like the whole dvd. I have AnyDvd 5.6.31. I tried using this and DVDShrink by itself and I got an out of memory error. I also have dvd decrypter, I tried using that and had a problem when trying to open the files in Shrink. I went on the forums and some said download this dvdfabdecrypter. I download the dvdfabdecrypter and used that and then i tried to burn the files using clonedvd2 and I received an unexpected error. I took the movie and then ran it through something called VOB blanker and tried burning the movie with clonedvd2 and received the unexpected error again. Im very frustrated at this point, so any help would be appreciated.

The latest version of AnyDVD is 5.8.3.1, unless you update it. You will not be able to do what you're tring to do. This with CloneDVD 2 should do the trick! If you want to back-up the Entire DVD, better get you some Verbatim Dual layer DVD+R DL discs.

Use The Best Media for The Best Burns! TYs, Verbs,(Made in Taiwan) Sony MIJs (YUDEN000 T02), Sony Made in Taiwan DVD+R 16x, Maxell MIJ, RITEK G05.

is a AWESOME program. best of luck.

You can also use DVD Decrypter along with AnyDVD running in the background and then use shrink. I backed up both and didn't ahve to use a dual layer disc for either. But I do use verbatim!

@bunnyrip, Actually the latest version of AnyDVD is 5.9.4.1. I'm with you is using CloneDVD 2 to handle Brothers Grimm and Dar Water...I also used Recode 2 to remove the credits and ran Brothers Grimm through Rebuilder Pro and came out just awe-some. With AnyDVD there shouldn't be a problem with either of these movies. I know some have had problems but with the sources at AD and the vast progs. out there I believe we can tackle almost any movie backup.

@moviedud,
If you will look at the date I posted, you'll see it was January 29th. At that time the latest version of AnyDVD was correct. Slysoft has updated several times since January 29th. Please check the post date before correcting someone. Keep in mind that AnyDVD gets updated quite frequently by Slysoft.
At this time, 5.9.4.1 is the latest update.

@bunnyrip, thank you my friedn for the reminder...I know AnyDVD gets updated frequently, which is awe-some and I will take note of the posted dates. Sorry, didn't mean to seem as if I was correcting you, but rather I was just showing others that there is a large team at AD that help one another. Again, sorry about the post. Have a good day.

I have not posted to the Forum for quite a while. I have the Brothers Grimm, and just tried to download AnyDVD from Slysoft's site. I got to 28% several times then an error message (the same one each time), so I suspect something may be blocking the download. Any suggestions? Thanks

I would suggest downloading from a "single" hit downloader, lot of programs,and or sites don't like the multihit "download managers".just down loaded and installed with no problem using the windows downlader

Nero, Thank you. I was able to download and should have posted a message about having been able to do so. Then I followed the instructions and was able to BU my Brothers Grimm disc. I must admit that the new protection system makes things trickier. Thanks for your post anyway.

I love Terry Gilliam's work, but IMHO you can skip his latest. The humor is tortured, the tone is totally dark, to the point of ruining any of the humor, and the effects, though pretty good, are Disneyesqe (moving trees, flying cloaks, etc). And, as if that weren't enough Matt Damon and Heath Ledger don't come up to ther usual acting standards. all of which is outside of the scope of this Forum, but just wanted to "share" <grin>

@dani21p - so you're having trouble burning the ripped movie(s), not having trouble ripping the actual movie(s)...?...

Yes thats correct the majority of the time i leave the option unchecked so the movie remains in my hardrive so it wont delete after its done copying , so i do know for sure that it is atleast copying them to the hard drive but its just not copying on the fly. After attempting that I have also tried to copy them on to a dvd after it put the files into my hardive but when attempting to copy the movie it also freezes before it even gets to start then i get that message again the MEDIA ERROR. I have tried everything I have all the updates to AnyDVD And Clonedvd2 have unistalled and the reinstalled i check to see if I have all latest drive updates nothing seems to work. Very weird that why i have posted this on here cause people seem to be copying succesfully suing the same method . I have always had success till jsut recently making copys till now
