let us know the name of the game, and we will find out whether it is a cd or dvd based game.
i am not sure but i think if u were loading a cd game with dvd swap magic, u will get a TOC error rather than a invalid disc error.
remember to mention its region as well.
also the size of the game will give u the idea whether it is cd or dvd. if its a few hundred MBs, most likely a cd game. if a few Gigs, most likely a dvd game.

theres a whole discussion about this over at solops, but the answer is simple..
"File" - "open Image file", Choise your ISO.
do a right click on "CD"- "Extract Cd <image>"- RAW (*.bin,*iso)
You obtain a .bin file and his .Cue file.
Burn The .Cue file on a CD (burn a image on a disc)
Finish, enjoy
I've done the above mentioned (burned with alcohol 120), but the problem is my ps2 cant read my swap magic 3.6 CD disk...so I cant play the game...
I use (¯`·._.·[Verbatim]·._.·´¯)
Verbatim 8x 4.7gb DVD-R ======(P/N:94971)=======
----------------------------------------------------
I use (¯`·._.·[Taiyo Yuden]·._.·´¯)
Taiyo Yuden 8X 4.7gb DVD-R ===(P/N:TYG02)=======

it's a cd game and my swap magic cd doesn't work in my ps2 either. in fact none of my friends swap magic cd's work in there ps2's and I can't seem to find a way around it. that sucks they can get away with massivly selling disks that don't work. anyone know of a way to convert a cd based ps2 game to dvd?

25. Q. How do I burn a PS2 CD-ROM based game to DVD?
A. The main reason for this is because the Swap Magic CD is notoriously fickle about loading games, plus for CD games over 640 MB's or so you need to use Breaker Pro as TOC disc to load.
It may be easier to burn them to DVD http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/197953

Unfortunately, I don't have any original PS2 CD games - so can't get it going with Cogswap (which is on my memory card).
I have an HD Advance 2.0 PAL DVD, but it's the same problem - I can't swap in the Black CD and import it to the hard drive.
I used DVDScan to patch it (using Virtual PC), and burned to a DVD-R - but it didn't result in a valid PS2 disc. I believe this is because I am on a Mac and don't know a way to burn the files with the correct LBA addresses in Toast. I don't even know what the correct LBA addresses are, as I can't get Isobuster working in Virtual PC.
Can anyone tell me the correct order (eg LBA order) to burn the files in?
Any other tips? Or is there a DVD version of the demo about? Any links to PS2 tools for the Mac would also be great.
Cheers.

Thanks! There is now a DVD version of Black demo on Usenet that works with Cogswap and HDL/HDA... but those links will be useful in future!

Burn the game to quality DVD-R's. DVD-/+RW's are terrible for the PS2 laser. Use quality media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim. You can get good deals on them at http://www.supermediastore.com

I dunno I've never bothered to convert CD to DVD, because I have a Matrix Infinity. Read the tutorial or ask Hursty, the person who wrote it.
