I am new to this forum .But i have already seen quite a few similar error messages . I get this too .Here's the log of the error message .

I have 256 MB RAM. Is that enough . I just got the DVD writer . Sony DVD-RW works fine in it . I burned one DVD-R in it and it worked fine .I have not been able to get the same brand and got two others . Neither of them worked. What could be the problem ? Anyone who knows about this please help me . Thanks in advance.

You need to update nero.
I would uninstall intel aplication accelorator. Then go to device manager and remove the ide controllers then reboot computer. That way it will not be using the intel aplication accelorator drivers for the ide controllers.
Then google for enditall2 and run it to kill all unused applications running in background before burning.
I would also get more memory. But that is just me.

its not recoginizeing the disk in the burner.

I uninstalled Intel Application accelerator and also Nero . I installed Nero 7 (Demo though) and also tried NDI CD and DVD Maker 7 Platinum . Neither of them worked. Here's the log file I got when I tried to burn the DVD with Nero 7 .
