I'm confused with 360 and HDTV, please HELP!!!

Do I really need to buy a TV with HDTV to enjoy 1080i with the 360 or can I buy a flat CRT TV with component inputs and still get 1080i? Also, does anyone know if CRT's support any progressive formats like 480p? I believe they won't support 720p.

each tv has its own special outputs.. you have to look at the information included.. The only way you are going to get true 1080i graphics is if you purchase an HDTV that has 1080i output.. You may be able to find a crt tv that does have 1080i, but i would suggest LCD flat panel. I got a 27" for $400. Look for the best deals.. Good Luck!

Thanks, dude! But I found the TV I was looking for. 27" CRT HDTV with 4 AV inputs, 2 component inputs, 1080i resolution and Progressive Scan support. All for less than 400. It's not for me, it's for my mom. When I get my 360, I plan to get an LCD Flat Panel, around 20" and maybe a VDGI Adapter, if I don't find one with component input.
