Nero Express 6 and Audio- Video Lag

On several occasions now, I try to burn some video files to dvd. They files work fine on my computer, but after I've burned them and I play the dvd in a dvd player, the audio seems to be 1-2 seconds behind the video, which makes for very annoying watching.

I run Windows XP and I use Nero Express 6 to Burn. Can someone tell me what the problem might be? Do I need to burn the files at a higher quality?
