I was wondering does the speed of the torrent depend on the amount people are uploading because I have a 70 seed torrent but I am only downloading at 20kb whereas on the peers page they download at about 120kb. I have a 2mb broadband connection with BT.

Another question is what setting to put into bitcomet to gain maximum speed including amount of connections per task, kb to upload, port to listen to etc.

Also what ports should I open and how do I know if it is open. After reading the guide "How do u make BitTorrent download faster? i have been searching the answer for days." I have opened the following ports TCP 11890-11900, UDP 11890-11900, TCP 55000-58887, UDP 55000-58887, TCP 6881-6999 and UDP 6881-6999. Do I need to open some more ports because I don't mind as long as it speeds things up. As a note I have also turned off the firewall.

One final question how do people download so fast because I seem to slowly drag along there must be some special program to allow them to do that.
