Hi !
I would like to rip a movie with multiple subtitles so I can change them on my player Or at least one subtitle that I can remove if I feel like it. Is that possible? I know it´s possible to get them "burned" on the movie but then I cant remove them, but I would really like that feature??
I use smartripper.
What I want is to rip a movie (when it´s more than 4,7 GB with extras but where the movie itself is less than that) and get selectable subtitles :-)

Thanx in advance

Hi there,

This is no problem at all,
either you use smart ripper and go to the stream tab or you use IfoEdit afterwards and use the 'strip streams' function. There you will be able to select what subtitles you want to keep. I've tried it with IfoEdit and it works great. Of course if you have to resample your image to make your movie vobs smaller it gets more complicated, because then you first have to strip of the subtitles you want (using subrip) and I do the same for audio (save the ac3 file), then resample your original VOB file to a lower bitrate (using Rempeg) and then I use Scenarist to make a vob again with the subtitles and the ac3 audio file and the resampled mpeg file. There is a conversion program which converts the subtitle format from subrip to the required Scenarist format. But like I said if your movie is small enough, using smartripper or ifoedit will do!
By the way what DVD-R media do you use with your Pioneer 535 (I have the same)?
I hate titles

claus64: Joost_B is correct, if you (as I hope) mean DVD -> DVD-R backups.
