I used Super Dvd Creator 8.5 to successfully convert 4 TV show episodes from .avi to .m2v & (whatever the audio track extention was, I forget...) Anyway, then I used DVD Lab Pro to take care of the rest - I built a simple menu with a still picture and the titles of the four episodes (each one linked to its appropriate video/audio files).

Long story short, the DVD plays almost perfectly in all of my DVD players...Here are the few problems that I would love clarification on if anyone can:

1) DVD Lab Pro had given me some kind of warning about GOP something or other...Don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I got this error with 3 out of the 4 files (all of which were downloaded from different sources, by the way) and for about half a second before each of these 3 episodes play, there is a very brief green screen that flashes once just before the video begins...This does not occur on the fourth one though.

2) When playing the disc on my computers, I can access any of the 4 episodes from the menu with no problem. However, on my DVD players, PS2, standalone dvd recorder, etc, when I get to the menu, I can only select episodes 1, 3, and 4...The highlighted selection seems to skip from 1 to 3 (or 3 to 1, depending on the direction I'm scrolling)...But I know that episode 2 is properly linked because it plays on my computers...Just can't select them on other DVD players...Does that make any sense?

3) Finally, I used the 16:9 format when converting the .avi's in Super DVD Creator 8.5, and they really look and sound great, but it seems like it's not as centered and/or scaled down as much as it should be - I'm losing about an inch of video on the left side of the screen (which, of course, I could live with, but I'm just curious to see whether I can avoid that in the future).

I am grateful for any help...Thanks a lot.

dvd lab has a tool to repair gop you will find it under tools gop effects timming this may be the reason for the green flash

with link obects in dvd lab if one butto is slightly below the other you may need to use down on your remote instead of across even though the buttons appear to be side by side
you can test run a menu before you compile by chosing simulation at the top of the menu build screen

super dvd creator I'm not familar with but it sounds like a croping issue

Thank you very much for your input...I had no idea about the menu test run feature...Guess it makes sense that such an option exists - I'll definitely have to check it out...

As far as the skipping button on the menu, you're suggesting that perhaps my button placement was somewhat off?...Like maybe I should spread them out a little more or scale down the sizes of the buttons so that they don't overlap or anything?...Cool...I think I get it...I'll give it a shot...Again, thank you...

...and yeah, I don't know about that whole cropping thing...Maybe someone else knows?

if buttons overlap it can screw things up
