Nero 6.6 Burning problem - please insert empty disc

Hi

I use Nero 6.6 with I/O magic DVD burner. I have burnt DVD's (DVD-R) using this burner and pinnacle however I did not get the

menu's correct so I tried Nero. Everything went fine - transcoding etc and after hours of transcoding (almost 12-14 hrs), it

said to insert an empty disc. i inserted a couple of empty disc (the same ones like I had burned earlier in the same drive)

but it keeps on saying the same error.

any help.....

Hi

I updated the DMA 'turned it on' after uninstalling the drivers and rebooting. Now Nero did not list out (does not reconize)my DVD burner at all

regarding the firmware - I/O magic writer - says it will auto update firmware..

Ok,
Yes this is a external burner - actually it was labled as internal and I just used a 5.25" external enclosure (SY-UEN-5SL) Prolific 3507 chipset - Support LBA 48, PIO Mode 0-4, DMA Mode 0-2, UDMA Mode 0-5

This time I used Nero to burn to image first and then used Burning Rom to burn to DVD.
Used the same Media - Nexxtech (Media code - CMC MAG. AE1 - which is good one). Nero started to write to disc but after a while it failed. here's the log. I check on other websites and people have burnt with Nexxtech, with idvd16dd (dvd burner - I/O Magic Internal 16X DVD±RW/±R, OEM:BTC, CyberDrive or Philips-BenQ, Chipset:Mediatek or Philips) and with Nero 6, just that I could not find out if someone's used a combination of all three.

as a next step I have upgraded firmware A07F from to A091. Not yet tried to burn after this.
also - anyplace I can find firmware - 16AF. someone had posted that using this firmware with idvd16dd had resolved all his problems and he could burn everything. is it a good idea to upgrade from A091 to 16AF?
