Is it possible to burn an event from your DVR 510 such as the SuperBowl this weekend to a DVD-r using Shrink or any other program? I beleave it is in MPEG2 format. The DVR has S-video and RCA outputs so I assume I would have to get a video card with either of these inputs. Penicle would work I think. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. This is not intended for monitary pourposes. I would just like to be able to store events on DVD

I use a capture card(TV Tunner) for my recording of TV shows. If you have cable all you would need is to connect the cable to the card and then recored that channel. But you could also use the DVR system and hook it up to the capture card and play the show you want to capture and capture it.

I have a Winfast TV2000XP Expert card. I bought it for around 50bucks.

Also you might want to check into your DVR system and see if it will let you make a home network connection between it and your computer. Both my DVR system and Tivo let me netwrok them togther.

If by chance you need a little more video card power you could upgrade to a better card that has VIVO. S-video in S-video out.

Good Luck

I use Nero vision express to capture. It has that option. Or most of the time your capture card will come with a program to do it. Mine came with it but I never use it. I use Nero Visionm Express.

is that included with in Nero v6? I never use Nero directly I alwalys let Shrink auto use Nero to burn. Where can I get a good toutorial on Nero? Also I have an AGP ATI card with DVI and Yellow RCA but how do I capture the audio? Can I run from my DVR to my 5.1 tuner and then from there, use the headphone jack to run to my audio input next to my speaker output? or will I have to get a audiocard with fiber input?
