I just beat Need For Speed for the XBOX360. I have never been addicted to a game like this in a long time. The last time I played any game from begining to end was 3 years ago. Could some suggest another Racing game I might enjoy. I don't like the Racing games that go in circles on a track like the Daytona 500. I'm looking for something that can compete with NFS. I wasn't an XBOX fan until I bought my kid the 360. Now I don't really know a whole lot about games for the 360 but any suggestions on Street Racing games would be appreciated.
well pgr 3 is street racing but its a different kind of racing altogether from NFS, there is also burnout revenge which is coming out next mounth for the xbox 360 that is fast street racing and in my opinion that is what i would go for. i also have xbox live that is why i got project gotham racing 3, b/c it is soo much fun.
and there is also ridge racor 6 but that is when the whole of your car must turn for you to just make an even small turn, the game is ok, but its not as good as the other three (burnout revenge, pgr 3 or nfs)
oh and there is another one coming out soon called test dirve unlimeted, you said you do not like going round tracks well this is what you might be looking for as its just racing people in a city which is meant to be massive. the graphics are meant to be good as well, here take a look at this.
http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/747/747892/imgs_1.html oh and i nearly forgot full auto which is kina a racing game but then again its not basically you have cars which you can put stuff on and by stuff i mean weapons, large ones at that so basically you have to get to the finish line before being blown up and try and blow other cars whicle your at it, if you have xbox live then this could be a good option.
anyways in my opinion i think you shoudl go between test drive unlimited, pgr 3 and burnout revenge, basiccaly rent them out and see which game you like most, the only thing is that pgr 3 is the only game which has been released out of those three.
Thank you fazyninja, I appreciate your time. It's funny that you mentioned Test Drive Unlimited and Full Auto. I just started this thread and did some research on the computer. Man, Test Drive looks pretty awesome and the details on the cars are like NFS Most Wanted. I also found Full Auto pretty awesome with a hot rod driving around blowing up things. In PGR can you race for pink slips? Can you build up your car by buying engine parts, paint jobs, and nitrous? I'll do some reading on gamespot.com and read their ratings.
no pgr 3 is basically normall cars be they clasics or new expensive cars, and you race tham against ai, or through cones or againts the time and on xbox live againts other people in street races or other stuff. you can not build up your car the only thing you can do is win races, get more money and buy better cars, there are laods of cars.
oh and also this is probably the best car racing game when it comes to grphis. and it had the best graphics out of all the games that were released on the launch of xbox 360, i can only think of one game that can beat it at the momment which is DOA4 but thats a fighting game.

I'm not as sharp as some of these guys on specs and stuff like that but I'm pretty capable of answering most of the questions people ask through years of trial and error. I remember when I was ten my old man used to get so pissed at me for beating him in football, on Atari, he would break the joysticks. After him doing this constantly I had plenty of spare parts and it got to the point to where I used to repair them. So going through Atari,Intellevision, Colecovision, Nintendo, Sega Genisis,PS1 Dreamcast,Ps2,and Xbox360, I have my share of experience with gameplay, graphics and what makes them tick. nice sounds like you know what you are talking about, i know more about games rather than hardware, which i supose in the end what it all comes down to.
also if you enjoy the xbox 360 you should consider getting xbox live, it does not cost that much and its awesome, and for me its the only real reason for getting xbox 360.
