Hi,
I had succesffuly joined to vts projects together in dvd lab pro, this is the method.
1. Opened DVD Lab pro and chose the advanced option (with vgm menu)
2. import vts asset from file
3. I import asset 1 and asset 2
4. So now in the connections tab I have vgm men, vts menu and import vts1 and import vts2
5. It does not allow you to link the vts's in the vts menu, so what I did was created a menu in the vgm menu and made two links, one going to each of the imported vts's
6. Now its like VGM menu, then linked to movie 1 and movie 2 - this way I can keep the original menu's and all, do not have to modify antyhing.
7. Go to Project and compile DVD.
8. Exports as a dvd 9 in the hard drive
9. use dvd shrink to shrink and burn onto dvd.

Using the method above I use to get 2 4.7gb movies into one dvd! There is a loss of quality, slightly but is doesnt matter in a normal/small tv screen.

THE PROBLEM...Today I am doing what I normally do and when I go to the compile dvd option, it starts off then it says
"cannot find output file" divlib - then you have to click 'ok'
then "abnormal program termination" and it crashes.
I have reinstalled dvd lab pro about 5 times now and it still happens, I even tried using my old vts files that had worked succesffuly before...any help would be great! thanks

Seems like a lot of troubles when it can be done in just few mouse clicks with DvdReMake: http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/ht_merge_full.php

dimad,

does the software merge a DVD9 movie that was split into 2 DVD5 into one single DVD5 disk? i mean with just a single movie main menu and then the movie playing fine like the original with chapter after chapter.

Yes. Procedure may depend a little on how it was split. Take a look: http://www.dimadsoft.com/dvdremakepro/ht_merge1.php

thanks for the link. i will give it a look. it was split in a normal way with extras. now i would like to merge it back to one disc without extras but just main movie which can play normally across the chapters with working menu and scene selection. the problem is i lost the original disc and hence couldn't back up from original.
